Complete glazing package for a full-scale developer refurbishment in Bramhall
Some properties need more than a refresh. When our customer acquired this detached property in Bramhall as a refurbishment project, the vision was a complete transformation - and the glazing specification was central to making it work.
Alex Trade Frames supplied the full package: Kommerling flush uPVC windows throughout, Kommerling French doors for the first floor Juliet balconies, and a Smart aluminium entrance system to the front. Black outside, white inside across the board.

The entrance
The front elevation was rebuilt around a Smart Alitherm 400 aluminium window package - large-format fixed and opening lights flanking the entrance, flooding the hallway with natural light and giving the frontage the architectural quality the original property never had. The Alitherm 400 is a thermally broken aluminium system well suited to prominent feature glazing, with slim sightlines and the structural performance needed for larger pane sizes.
The entrance door combines a Smart VisoFold single door with an Avoriza aluminium panel and obscure glass sidelights. Black throughout, it anchors the frontage and gives the entrance genuine presence - considered rather than standard.
Kommerling flush windows
Fourteen Kommerling flush casement windows were supplied in black external, white internal, running across both floors. Against the re-rendered white elevation, the flush profile was the only choice - a window that sits in the wall rather than projecting from it, keeping the lines clean and the finished result tight.
Juliet balconies
Two sets of Kommerling French doors were supplied for the first floor Juliet balconies in anthracite black, white internal - matching the finish of the flush windows throughout. Keeping the same colour specification across every opening on the elevation is what gives the finished build its coherence.
